On the 27th local time, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) stated that the food reserves in the Gaza Strip are dwindling, and the continued closure of border crossings has put hundreds of thousands of people at risk of severe hunger and malnutrition once again. Meanwhile, the escalation of military operations in the Gaza Strip has put aid workers in danger every day and seriously disrupted food aid efforts.

The agency said that for more than three weeks, the WFP and its partners have been unable to provide new food supplies to the Gaza Strip. The closure of border crossings is preventing the entry of any humanitarian and commercial supplies. Currently, the WFP has nearly 5,700 tons of food stocks in the Gaza Strip, which can only sustain the agency's aid operations for a maximum of two weeks.

The WFP urged all parties to prioritize the needs of civilians in the Gaza Strip, protect the safety of humanitarian aid and United Nations staff, and immediately allow aid supplies to enter the Gaza Strip.

On March 2nd, a statement said that starting from that day, all supplies will be suspended from entering the Gaza Strip.
