The Russian Foreign Ministry added that "the meeting place, the form of experts, and the participants will not change. The consultations will be held in Istanbul. As before, the Russian delegation will be led by the Russian Ambassador to the United States, and the US side will be led by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Russia and Central European Affairs."
It is reported that in February this year, the Russian and US delegations completed the first round of talks on bilateral relations in Istanbul, discussing the issue of embassy operations. A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry at the time said that the talks were rich in content and practical, and the two sides agreed to continue dialogue through this channel.
