It is reported that Ocean Infinity, a company headquartered in the UK and the US, has signed a "no find, no fee" contract with the Malaysian government to search an ocean area of about 15,000 square kilometers about 1,500 kilometers off the coast of Perth, Australia. This search will be more focused and targeted than previous ones.
On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, a Boeing 777 en route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Beijing, China, went missing with 239 people on board. On January 29, 2015, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia declared the flight crashed and presumed all those on board dead.
Malaysian Transport Minister: Agrees in Principle to Resume Search for MH370
On December 20 last year, the Malaysian Transport Minister said that in principle, the resumption of the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was agreed. The minister said that at a meeting on December 13, the Malaysian Cabinet agreed that an underwater exploration company named "Ocean Infinity" could continue to conduct a search in an area of 15,000 square kilometers in the South Pacific under the "no find, no fee" principle. The Malaysian Ministry of Transport will sign a contract with the company in early 2025.
