According to a report, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on the 24th that if Ukraine maintains its current reform pace, it may join the European Union before 2030.
She said, "I greatly appreciate the political will Ukraine has shown so far. I would even say that if Ukraine continues to carry out reforms at this speed and with this quality, they might be able to join the EU before 2030."
On the same day, von der Leyen and several European leaders arrived in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, to attend the "Support for Ukraine" summit to discuss Ukraine's negotiation strategy and security guarantees.
Von der Leyen announced that the EU will provide 3.5 billion euros in aid to Ukraine in March, and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez promised a 1 billion euro aid package.
