Mexico Uncertain About Call with US, Tariff Negotiations Ongoing

On February 25th local time, the Mexican president stated at a morning news conference that it is still uncertain when a phone call with the US president will take place, but tariff negotiations between the two countries are still ongoing.

On February 3rd, the presidents of the United States and Mexico had a phone call. After the call, the Mexican president announced that the US plan to impose tariffs on Mexican goods would be postponed for one month. This decision will expire on March 4th. The Mexican side has expressed its hope to reach a new tariff agreement with the US before this deadline.
